I'm Djing an Indian wedding in a huge ballroom soon and the microphone needs to be wireless so it can be passed around for people to make toasts. Any recommendations? I don't need top of the line, just decent-sounding with a good range in case auntiji decides to start roaming while making her speech. $100 or less is what I'm shooting for, but I have no idea of the price range I should expect. Help.

i axed the same question a while ago and got the nothing but crickets.

  • there's no such thing really. i would highly recommend just renting one for the occasion. sure makes all their mics
in a wireless version, meaning you can get just your basic sr58 or whatever it is as a wireless mic.
that would be your best bet, should run you 25-50 to rent it for the event, you'll get the mic, receiver, an
xlr cable and a couple spare 9v batteries in the case. Just call your local guitar center, i think they even
rent these, or any local pro audio rental facility.
