  • Whoa. I really wonder what kind of equipment I'm going to be using in five years. But, I can't really this being more than a tech-toy, and maybe a production tool. What's the point of having a turntable wheel on top of a laptop? The buttons would all be hidden when the turntable was running, and you'd need two to trick mix or use a hardware mixer.

The real goal is probably going to be something more portable than a laptop (i.e. smaller and lighter) that works with an iPod or similar portable media device. Basically, like a tablet PC with RCA inputs, a small screen and works with control records ala Microwave. Basically, it's all the convenience of the current Microwave systems, just less hardware and smaller. The idea being, all you need is to walk in with this little tablet plus your iPod and you're good to go.
