Is there a simple way to split the audio and video tracks on an .avi file?Thanks in advance,Dress

    Import your avi in final cut, then export audio and video.
    but maybe there's a tool like mpegstream for .avi ...

    I have a little program called "anything to mp3" or something like that. Great for grabbing sound bites, and mega easy to use.

    If you dont want to have to dl a new app- In the "recording" section of the volume setting select master, play the vid, open up sound recorder (or if you have another app use that) and hit record for the part you want.

    Adobe Audition has an extract audio from function. Good overall wav editing app . Also good for removing surface noise from vinyl recordings
