About once a year I get in a Hammond craze, usually sparked off by digging some up and it makes pull out my other funk hammond records. My recent finds of Richard Groove Holmes "Comin On Home", Rueben Wilson's "The Sweet Life", and Billy Butler's "This is Billy Butler" has made me a fiend once again. Pullin' "Fire Eater" off the shelf as well as the classics by Earland, Baby face Willete,Kynard etc. in my time of fiendin'...drop some other Hammond funk you dig...(funky16...I expect a list no shorter than a hundred records from you)appreciate batches

I know you ain't talkin' to me

  • where to begin...

Hilton Felton can bust some serious hammond funk licks when he's not doing straight ahead jazz or gospel. Raymond Green (from Black Heat) is SIIICK on the organ in person.

The organist on Larry E. and the Black Hammer's "Funky Thing" kills it.

  • where to begin...

Hilton Felton Hilton Felton Hilton Felton Hilton Felton

but k****, how do you really feel about hilton felton, really?

  • Right now I'm listening to Jimmy Smith's 8 Counts for Rita.

What can I say J****, he's my freakin' daddy.

He and Andrew White worked a deal whereas they exchanged porn mags for recording session work. That's just straight

A friend of mine in the Bay has been working on a documentary about Hammond B-3 players. I think he has talked with all of the living legends at this point. Hope it comes out soon.
