It was from a time when you were a fan of the music, and you could take part in the creation of it. Ed Thrasher was the one responsible for the album cover design, be it the placement of the photos or artwork, the lettering used: it was his look that was often the first part of what would become the listening experience when you opened that record. You might have a Loss Leaders[/b] comp in a crate right behind you.
