MPC memory troubles

Little help? I got an MPC off ebay, and it's acting funny on me. Sometimes it's normal, but most of the time when I start it up the load screen reads that there's only 1900 Kb of memory, and I can't load any big sounds. If I turn it on and off a bunch, it eventually figures out that it has a full 32 Mb, and then I can use it properly. Anybody go through anything like this before? Is there an easy fix, or am I gonna have to start looking for another sampler? Thanks yo

check the contacts on your memory, open it up. Maybe get some pressurized air and clean any dust.

  • try taking out memory and cleaning contacts w/rubbing alcohol.

or re-install into second memory slot, hope this helps

What model MPC did you buy?
A friend of mine had some trouble with cheap 2nd hand RAM he bought for his 2KXL.
He had to keep pulling it out, for it recognise it.
