Hey all. Tonight at the Aqua Lounge (never been, dont have high expectations) on 5th and Girard, my buddy's new band Nubasol is going to be playing their first gig out. They've got stuff lined up at NXNW, North Star, etc. but this is just the feet wetter for them. They are latin and groove based from what i understand. i don't know about any breakface moments, but they are some quality musicians. For your link to history, one of them is the son of one of the Fania All Stars. (More on that later, interview related).Anyhow, if you're looking for something free and not too late (they go on at 10PM for about 45 mins) then pop in and say hi. i'm going to support my boy and then skip back out of the city. i have a fuzzy beard.i will put a disclaimer out that i have no idea what to expect, head count or honey dip wise, but i would feel remiss if i didnt hype the show for my friend. To my knowledge not a single record will spin.peace
