in my "Mr. Wizard" watching days when I was a kid, I made a paper turntable that he taught how to make on his show...although not as elaborate. Mine consisted of a couple thread spools, rubber band, a piece of construction paper rolled into a tube, a pencil and a very fine straight pin. It worked. I really scratched the fuck outta my Cheap Trick LP.
