So they just reisued Tim Maia's Racional (Vol. 1) on CD Apparently one of the greatest Brazilian Funk records. What's the lowdown then on Vol. 2 ?

    and calling it one of the greatest brazilian funk records is a stretch. It's good, but nowhere near the best.

    I actually saw one of the 'Racional' church centers when I was down there a few months ago... I considered popping in to see if they had spare copies

    Tim Maia to Cultura Racional is as Isaac Hayes to Scientology.

    Trama's website says that the contract they have with Tim's family is only to release vol. 1; there's no reference about the release of volume 2.
    I think is really wack they changing the cover and eliminating the references to Cultura Racional. It's a known fact that Tim wanted to forget his Racional period, thus he never allowed the cd release of the albums. But changing the cover is

    All the tracks/lyrics in both volumes are about Cultura Racional.
