portable audio player suggestions

so, i wanna finally get an mp3 player too... important features:- 40 GB or more- ability to transfer music files without extra programs a la itunes- ability to record to hi quality mp3 (or wav)i was fancying the iriver h140 for a while, but it seems like it's no longer available. any suggestions?thanks!
