So I'm playing a set at a town hall on the first floor tomorrow night.. just gonna have my turntables set up on a table they got there probably.I'm not sure what kind of floor this place has and I know the people are going to be jigging, so I'm just wondering what y'all do if faced with a potential needle skipping situation?Paece.Lee.

Sprung wooden floors are the worst as the house can really bounce. We used to have regular parties at a friends house that was all timber and to fix the problem we suspended the Dj table from the ceiling (bolted to the rafters and weighted it down so it wouldn't swing around too much (Good for boats as well). I have heard of people also putting half tennis balls under the feet of their decks to absorb some of the shock from people dancing.

It's good to have plastic "bread crates" (don't know the english words... you know, the kind restaurants use) underneath the tables. Maybe that's something you always do but just so you know, some kind of shock absorbtion is necessary, having the 1200s on a table with nothing underneath is asking for skipping problems.

that thing looks like one slight bump of the table would send everything sliding off.
