Tech Help: Firefox problem

Hi all,i seem to be having a problem with Firefox, which shuts down (closes itself) when i try to acces certain sites (such as my secured internet banking acces)the problem might lie with my java applet, but after trying to download the latest version from their site i got a message telling me it wa already installed.Not too tech-savy... please help!

    I am slowly starting to realize that Firefox SUCKS!!!!!

    no fucking java support in osx? what the fuck is that about. you have to revert back to java 1.31 or some shit. yeah!! progressive web browsing at it's best.

    I haven't had a problem yet. Has anyone tried Opera? I downloaded it but haven't bothered to use it.

    java really doesnt work too well with firefox
