Best desktop active monitors?

OK, engineering/recording folks, help me out here. I'm in need of a good pair of studio monitors kinda chop-chop. These would be sitting on my desk flanking my computer, so they can't be too big, obviously, plus, I don't really have a shitload of money to spend. I'm looking at something like the Yamaha HS50Ms. Anybody got any recommendations?
