a tornado just fucked up my town!

and the funny thing is, i wasnt even aware anything was going on.tons of buildings are totally demolished, within walking distance...while this was going on me and my friend were just jamming and chilling out. hahahanot sure if there were any fatalities, all i know is a wal-mart, menards, honda dealership, and tons of small businesses got destroyed..also some sorority house and the back of some frat house...and some other shit.weird! hahahai didnt even know there was a tornado right outside my house till my mom calls from 120 miles away and asks if im ok....hahaha

    well i mean the weather was terrible and the tornado siren is literally a couple feet from my building, but i had no idea there was an actual tornado on the ground...crazy.

    i just went out and checked out the damage. preeeety fucking intense. i tried taking pictures with my camera phone but i forgot to save most of them...plus i dont know how to get them on the computer anyway.

    man, its crazy out. really weird vibe. every single person has a camera in their hand too..

    as far as iowa city digging goes, the two spots i hit up today were unscathed (thankfully) HOWEVER the one place i DIDNT go no longer has a roof and half the windows are busted out. methinks theres a couple (overpriced) 13th floor elevator LPs that just got some seeerious water damage.

    kinda scary...haha

    Yeah, my parents called me from the basement of their church last night asking me to check the weather conditions because the radio station was taking calls from the public and not actually saying what was going on. I heard on Morning Edition this morning that there was one fatality.

    Way to weather the storm, ako!!

    ah, almost forgot to mention the fucking ridiculous hail i had to drive through on the way home! it looked like it had snowed, and sounded like somebody was consistently chucking rocks at my car.

    had to be 2-inch hail. comin down like rain. crazy.


    hopefully my friend's show isnt cancelled tonight, i was pumped to go see them.

    That shit was crazy last night!!! Even up here in Cedar Rapids! Some of my friends saw trees fly four blocks away and cars tip and all that shit down there.

    Wow man, those pictures look crazy. It's a good thing you're alright.
    It's seriously funny to imagine you in your room with the music cranked up playing instruments oblivious to the insanity going on outside.
