No computer in the store. Solid new arrivals section. Nothing priced more than $10 ever.

And of course W**__L***_ in ____***E, Wisconsin.

Toad Hall, the owner died. Sams Jams went out of business 10 years ago due to bad management. All the other little stores that sprung out of it though, still excellent buying.

i cant even tell you how many records i got there. hundreds. i used to go up there with a $500 and spend half of it on soul and jazz records every time. nothing was ever more than $3-5. 25 sealed copies of Gordons War, all the Hank Ballard LPs sealed, thousands of 45s in the attic for a dime each... then one day we trekked all the way up there and they were closed... no more records. we pressed our faces up to the glass and left nothing behind but our tears and the fog from our breath...

after 8/9+ yrs of being closed i still let out a small tear whenever i think of that goldmine.

Cosmo's has great records... but price? some of those wall joints are crazy expensive.

K , "Theo's Records (2 blocks north of Bloor on BAthurst), Toronto"

what spot is that? are you referring to Lost N' Found or is it an old record store that isn't around anymore?

Vinyl Revolution in Monterey, CA. Bob took a young blood under his wing and showed me a bit about the collectro game. Selection was up and down, but he answered questions and provided names--a beautiful record stool pigeon, if you will.

Thank the lord! Last time I was there, Brad was absent and some Iggy Pop looking dude looked everything up on eGay. Definitely made me sour about People's.

on one side of this thread we have the hip spots with cool records, a 'twist one up' vibe & their toe dipped in the waters of current 'fag digger trends'.

in contrast to this is the "lots & lots of rare records being sold for a fraction of their value" shop.

I know which one I prefer.

shit, I'll twist one up at home( metaphorically)
