Someone gave me a collection a few months ago. This person was really into folk stuff. Other than the obvious (Dylan, Baez etc.), there was lots of great Folkways and Alan Lomax type shit. She also had tons of Fairport Convention and related (e.g., Fotherningnay (sp) and Sandy Denny solo). Also Some Pentangle.I'm really digging the Fairport stuff and some of the Pentangle. (shows late pass)But I'm just not feeling the Steeleye Span records. Do we have any fans of this music on here? Personally, I've never gotten the comparisons to Fairport Convention. I've yet to hear a Steeleye Span song, nevermind album, that I can enjoy all the way through.

That's my problem. I was expecting them to be similar.

Nothing but hate for the Steeleye. I'm listening again right now.

Not that bad. It might grow on me.
