MI strutters: Howell.

So I will be in Howell tomorrow and there are a couple spots there:Old Homestead Records(517) 548-7772 6058 E Grand River AveHowell, MI Refuge Records(517) 548-0947 724 Menominee DrHowell, MI Anyone been to either place? I really don't want to walk into some joint to be surrounded by big bald dudes with Nazi tattoos. Even the names seem kinda sketchy, but maybe I'm just being ridiculous.

    Howell used to be the KKK Headquarters of Michigan. I have never been there because I am scared of this. I doubt there will be much soul and jazz records there, they have tried for many years to keep black people away.

    I hope I am wrong and they have become a softer, more gentler Howell.
