hello - can you please recommend one/some that is/are not too expensive - this is not for home use but for public screenings. audio outs are not essential, but are ideal - i think it makes more sense to run sound out of a good quality projector that a dvd or vhs player - yes? no?thanks a lot.

if price is of concern i recommend going through P**wla in Melb.

I have used the a lower range Sony and a BenQ PB2140 and they both did the job nice and can be picked up cheap but what the hell do i know about this?

There's one Hitachi model we use. We just got them about 3-4 months ago.. They are really great. Small and compact. Pretty damn good sound for a small projector. And it's got some great bells n whistles on it!. I'll find out some info when I get free of my emergency calls.

PS - You could always pass by my work to test some out toooooooooooooo

    HA!

I think the cheapest you'll find is about $799. I'm not sure how reliable those may be. I would look more towards 1000 and up for quality.

Is this ur thing? Or for work???

    PMing you his number now.

it's something i'd like to have for gigs (think how much better the art bar thing would have been with something projected on the walls) and maybe even show movies in the backyard in the summer and BF would use it for skate vid premieres at the store and what not...got the PM - thanks a lot.

    Sanyo plv-z1

I paid about 1050 2.5 years ago, they are on like models z3 and z4 now so the z1's may be around 700 now, cheaper if used.

With any projector, bulbs will be expensive, around 300.00 so consider that when debating over the new or used thing.

None of them actually have though. If you have a laptop, the time and a little bit of $, these might be the way to go. You can find old overhead projectors on the cheap in Thrifts.
