How do you "subscribe" to blogs?

seriously i don't know what an RSS feed or XML is. how do i make it so that i get an alert everytime there is a new post on one favorite blogs? Can I make it so i get email notification or something? I can't keep track of this stuff now that it seems everyone I know has a blogthanksaudrey

    no email notification, unless the blog site offers it (ie. livejournal, xanga). You would have to signup for an account for each prospective site to get it.

    rss, it depends on what program you use for it. RSS readers have more options, but there is built in rss support for Firefox & Safari. Firefox will give a listing of subject titles if you bookmark a rss page (ie. subject titles of blog posts). Safari meanwhile will place a number in brackets to indicate the # of new articles available since you've last checked said page.

    oh wow thanks so much. i use firefox so I will start bookmarking rss pages
