Solid Steel radio show 24th February 2006This week (24th February) J Mountain steps up and delivers a real slice of beat broadness! We pay our respects to J Dilla the only way we know, by playing something brand new from the man himself, a modern day legend. Always cutting edge and always ahead of the rest. RIP Jay Dee. Music from across the spectrum in the shape of Brahmasonic, Gnarles Barkley, brand new Gotan Project, Spank Rock, Arctic Monkeys and a bunch from the "just in" pile. Its all about the musical variation! Hour two sees our first guest check into the studio. The hip hop is here with Devil McDoom, brand new on MPM out of Sweden. Check out cuts from his debut album side by side with heavyweights from Notorious b.i.g., Sound Directions, Breakestra, Main Source and more on the hop. This weeks finale is a stalkeresq homage to DJ Shadow from Skew. All the classics get a spin in this intense thirty minute history lesson. Fuckin' sick mix bro... I'm with Mike, i'm into the exact same shit as you guys...
Apart from the cdr tracks I'm only missing the Cinevox one in that list.

Okay, i'ma borrow someones mixer (mines ratshitted with no headphone volume) & get cracking on a mix. I'm all gee'd up...

They put my first ever b-boy track on Dope On Plastic & Stapelton mixed into Mex's 'Way of the Exploding Crate' track. So I love that tune. Glad I have the 12" as well.

days comment about the complete tracklist got me thinkin... cus the tracklist up there is pretty much complete exept for the radiospots and vocal bits, and extra breaks i used.

then a friend told me it was nice that i included his track even tho he never got to finish it, which i btw didnt include in the final mix.. so it seems like i sent some almost finished version to the domu guy by mistake.

they both have pretty much the same tracks tho, but the version that was up for download as mp3 was lacking my lefties edit, my gangstarr remix, didnt have akos breakbeatraer track, and it didnt have my little remake of days what planet.

heres the version i HOPE was broadcasted on solidsteel if i didnt send those guys the wrong one aswell haha

just two tracks of that old version up on domus site wasnt in the new one my homies hands and sci-fis track which i cant remember the title of, and the instrumental of sundance dont call it a comeback, using that same wahwah from gordonswar as cut chemists remix of the original artform.... but the tracklist was in the wrong order.. you should be able to figure out the tracks if you listen to the final version instead.

fuck spreading unfinished stuff by mistake sure is annoying!
