Man, I can't choose, owls are so cute & beautiful, even while ripping small woodland creatures to pieces. I never knew they were hunters until a trip to the zoo at feeding time about 4 years ago. I saw a barn owl set upon a couple of hapless rodents, it was brutal. Changed my whole perception of those smart librarian type cartoon owls.
ok - owls are officially the scariest animlas on earth. fuck a tiger.

The closest I have ever been to an owl -- in the real world -- was about 20 feet. Deep in the Vermont mountains 2 summers ago, wandering through a particularly lovely patch, I stumbled upon a big fucker of an owl. It was just us. I stood still and watched it watch me for a few minutes. I walked very slowly towards it, and it perched on a brach staring at me from behind a branch. I took a two pictures. When I tried to get closer it flew away. I was surprised at how heavy my heart was beating once it was gone.
Me and it alone in the woods, you know, amazing shit out there...
You are going to take shine away from my DJ Leacy incarnate discovery...
I'm really jealous that I don't get to hang with owls out in the real world. It'd be so damn awesome to say that you roll with the owls. What is harder than that?
It looks like someone carved a face out of an everything bagel.
Owl's are kind of creepy. Has anyone been close to one in the wild? They're spooky, believe me. My wife's tribe (as well as a few others I know of) believe an owl at your house means someone is dead or will die soon.
