Article:Attaining Mind Mastery by Jafree Ozwald www.ManifestingVibration.com*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*"When I hear somebody sigh that "Life is hard," I am always tempted to ask,"Compared to what?" ~ Sidney J. Harris*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Mind mastery is something we all would like to achieve, yet it's probable that only a few of us actually will. And why is that? Mastering the mind is like training 50 wild untamed horses with only one good rope and some sturdy cowboy boots. It takes a raw willingness to face the impossible each day, to meet your worst demons and greet them with a courteous "Hi, how are you doing? Would you like some tea?". It means having an unshakable determination to move beyond every limitation and judgment you have and think is impossible to conquer. It takes the deepest commitment to yourself to find that brilliant Light inside yourself everyday and reveal the Truth that you are an Infinite Being, even in the most embarrassing situations. It takes a burning desire to know and experience that you're an eternal aspect of God (and God Consciousness) and have always been that!Mind mastery is a commitment to the Truth. It's a decision to live in a state of ecstasy for the rest of your life. It is THE Greatest Opportunity there is. To explore that which you first decided to come to Earth to discover (your infinite nature). Which means as some point, you get to drop all your victim stories, hatred, judgments, childhood issues, faults, problems, worries and beliefs about yourself as a result of knowing the Truth of who you really are...all day long...all year long, forever!Mind mastery means celebrating your life today, even if you just had the worst year of your life. It's about signing up for a fresh new perspective each morning, and staying committed to the Truth, in each and every moment you're alive.*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*The whole science of meditation is nothing but centering, moving towards the center, getting rooted there, abiding there. And from there the whole perspective changes. ~Osho*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*If you're wondering how to do this, there is a KEY to mastering the mind. The KEY to mind mastery is finding the center of your body, mind and consciousness....and staying there. Being devoted to it, especially when those 50 crazy horses pull you towards that velvet rut that keeps you stuck in victimization, righteousness, or pretending to be powerless. Now how does one change such deeply embedded habits? With one amazing gift, the ability to surrender deeply and completely to Existence. The un-enlightened mindset will think that a greater state of control and domination over the mind is obviously how one masters their mind. This is definitely not the case. Being the master of our mind is in fact when we are in our most relaxed, surrendered and receptive state. When we give up the battle and step back we can see the bigger picture. The moment we can see clearly, then EVERYTHING comes into a better perspective. It just so happens that we've spent lifetimes and lifetimes (not to mention this one) deeply attached to The Lie (our ego), trying to fix, change and control our lives (and others) with this mind and it's identity given to us.I want to share something very personal with you. A very interesting thing happened to me the other night after a half-hour of deep meditation. I come to the realization that ALL the suffering I've experienced in my ENTIRE LIFE was attributed in some way to my attachment to the ideas, complaints, opinions, problems, and inherited issues of other people. I discovered that we human beings have an amazing ability to unconsciously (and naively) allow ourselves to be "infected" by other people's drama and past issues. Either we resist and try to block out their negativity, or we pretend it doesn't affect us.I was trying to "help others" in some way by letting them vent their issues out to the Universe (hearing their victim story), while meanwhile submitting myself to the impact of their feelings of powerlessness, fear, and anxiety energetically. This energetic "suicide" is something that I've found is often encouraged in this society and often seen as the sign of someone who truly cares about you and is a good friend. We think "they must really care about us if they go along with our story."So I asked myself, "What would my life be like if I was totally neutral and at peace with everyone's issues and victim stories?" Would I be felt and seen by others as a disconnected, cold, and insensitive human being? What if I choose to remain feeling warm and fuzzy inside, would I still appear to others as being cold, uncaring, and un-compassionate? I then realized that the REAL question here is not to ask "What's in it for me?", but instead "How can I help?"*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Obstacles are those frightful things you see whenyou take your eyes off your goal. ~ Hannah More*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*That night something inside my energy began to shift. I began to be less attached to what other people were struggling with, and more aware of what I was struggling with. I noticed that "their issues" and "my issues" coincidently coincided. I was also noticing that the more deeply rooted I became in the center of my being, the easier it was for me to experience the negativity of other's issues. I found myself automatically diving deeper into the center of my being, not because I should dive deeper or thought I could "attain" some higher enlightened state by doing so, but because there really is no where else that to go to find The Truth that we are spiritual beings temporarily in human form.Since we are all energetically inter-connected at the deepest of levels, it does make one wonder if "their" issues are always reflections of issues buried deeper within ourselves. If life is simply a grand multi-faceted mirror, and you truly know that all the people you meet are merely reflecting hidden aspects of your Self, how can you NOT choose to come from a more enlightened response when you see "others" sinking in their pits of sorrow, despair or terror? We are always working on ourselves (through others), so shouldn't we naturally just be in the most centered, compassionate and loving space possible inside?*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Whatever you can imagine is possible,is a fraction of what is truly possible. ~Jafree*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*So what does this have to do with Mind mastery? Mind mastery truly begins the moment we stop letting the reality the we are truly Infinite Beings slide on by. The fact is that the drama/trauma stories of the world are always going to be happening to us. This is never going to change until we are completely awake to our Infinite Divine Self. What we can do until that happens, is help each other remember that their issues/problems are simply based on a Lie (as well as our own). The Lie is that we are separate from the Infinite Source of power and consciousness (God). The belief that we are separate from this Infinite Source of power is the grandest illusion in our life. It is the story we are VERY attached to, for it's means that we don't have to do anything incredible with our lives. It gives us the greatest excuse in the Universe. We can remain small, irresponsible for our lives and pretend like we didn't know any better. The Lie gives us the grand excuse for sitting on our butts for 80 years, complaining about the job we hate, the relationships that aren't working, and have an ignorant attitude to say,
"I didn't create this!"All suffering basically boils down to some perpetual story of our past victimization. Where we bought into the Lie that we were powerless, wrong and stupid (separate from God). It's this story that we've been unconsciously re-claiming ourselves to be WHO we are, and re-creating an emotional identity with for our entire lives. If you happen to be one of those people who want to wake up from this deep delusion yet don't know how, you simply need to be willing to acknowledge the Infinite Being you truly are and choose to see that in the mirror each and every day. No matter what mood you're in or how screwed up you think you are, choose this paradigm of WHO you truly are! This choice is something you already make everyday (unconsciously) and is the second step in truly mastering your mind (and your life). The first step is recognizing the extent of the Lie you're living now.*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which wearrive at that goal. ~Martin Luther King Jr.*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*I believe the moment we start doing the exact opposite of what we've unconsciously already been doing our entire lives, we will awaken to the Truth to a certain degree. This means we need to actually stand firm and solid in the Lie we are living, to embrace it and consciously say, "I am a living lie!". Who knows, it might feel pretty good the first time you honestly do it. Admitting the problem is always the first step towards letting it go.It certainly isn't true that we can move any closer to our God-Self by pretending we are already self-realized and free from the suffering currently in our lives. If you are one of those sick and tired people, used to playing small and victimized, then that is just another excuse/method to unconsciously escape from the Truth that YOU are an eternal being with an infinite power. This continuous conscious recognition of how you are living your Lie, becomes the only possibility of waking up from the current Illusion of suffering (no matter how big or small) you are currently participating in.*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*"Living at risk is jumping off the cliff and buildingyour wings on the way down." ~ Ray Bradbury*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Remember this: The very instant you find the center of your being, the mind can no longer remain occupied with illusions of past and future. In this instant is total freedom. This is the state of mind mastery. It is being engaged in the real Truth of your being.Something I'd like you to do in February to create this Awakening and Transformation, is to practice being aware when you are creating an opinion, judgment or belief about yourself. Look and see who you are labeling yourself to be, who you think you are, and ask if this belief is really true, and is this belief something that actually empowers you or limits YOU? Whatever "judgment" you impose upon yourself will surely show up in your relationships in the wildest of ways..A second thing to remember is: The beliefs of other people are simply the limitations and boundaries they impose on their life. Just because EVERYONE does it, means you don't need to do that to your life too. People are asleep and unknowingly are living 95% of their time in their heads, in the land of illusions, creating new and better ones everyday.Even if its not the illusions of the life they want, they think they "have to" live in this mental/emotional reality. The Reality is that the mind simply forms beliefs (structure) so that one fine day it can free itself from them! Beliefs can only generate a false sense of or "feeling" of together-ness, sense they keep us trapped up in our heads. Participating in ANY belief is thinking....thinking is not experiencing life, it is thinking we are experiencing something, this is a very subtle yet dramatic distinction.*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*"Understand that the right to choose your own pathis a sacred privilege. Use it. Dwell in possibility." Oprah*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*My message to you to attain Mind Mastery is to be 100% committed to being a completely free thinker for the next 365 days on every level you can imagine. Be independent of others opinions of you. Be free from what others think is what is good and not good, who's nice and not nice, and what is wrong and not wrong. Find your center in this warped whirlpool of mind chaos and stand up and speak your TRUTH!!When you are 100% committed to being fully aware awake being, you are no longer going to be trapped in the mind. You will experience yourself as awareness-ness itself. Whatever thoughts you're thinking, what action you're doing, and who you are being in this moment, you come from your true center, this Infinite Center of your True Self. When the ego-mind-agenda (over time) has completely surrendered to something better and bigger than itself (Infinite Source), then YOU are immediately free! Your true power will be awakened. This is the great experience that will solve all those future problems coming your way. Your greatest negative issues (and others') simply disappear when you abide 100% of the time in the center of your being. That place is inside you right here and now. It is that space which is independent of any thought, free from any emotional mind-game, and still is as real and clear as the morning sunrise.*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Ecstasy is our very nature; not to be ecstatic is simply unnecessary. To be ecstatic is natural, spontaneous. It needs no effort to be ecstatic, it needs great effort to be miserable. That's why you look to tired, because misery is really hard work; to maintain it is really difficult, because you are doing something against nature. ~Osho www.osho.com*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*"The time to relax is when you don't have time for it." ~ Sidney J. Harris*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Mind Mastery MeditationMake time to spend 20 minutes alone in a nurturing quiet space.Sit quietly doing nothing with your spine balancedin a vertical-relaxed position from head to tail.Focus on your breath and notice your thoughts.Notice any tension in your body that arises from the thoughts.Say to yourself, "RELEASING"with each thought or tension that occurs.Practice going into this experience of releasing.Release EVERY thought and feeling that arises inside, good or bad.Practice accepting yourself as you are, and The World exactly as it is.*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Reiki Principles For LIFEJust for Today I will let go of Anger.Just for today I will let go of Worry.Just for Today I will give thanks for my many blessings.Just for Today I will do my work Honestly.Just for Today I will be kind to my neighbor and every living being.

I wouldn't necessarily call it Mind Mastery, just a basic introduction to buddhist way of thought. Awareness through meditation, and self realization. I'd rather stuff like this spammed than chainletters and bullshit.

Hate to burst your bubble, but the answer is death (It may or may not be true, but it's what people who say things like that are thinking).

Find the infinite being in this picture! Hint: it's not the girl!

    Dude,
the point of the saying is not that the answer is death, but that compared with not being alive, difficult life situations are a lot more attractive!

I was thinking the same thing when I scrolled through and saw the five principles at the end.
