Maybe you can order it directly from the Ubiquity site.
My reissue copy was warped when I bought it new.
Yeah, they got 'em. Ordered.
signed,
button, king of the re-ish holy grails
But i got the last (and only?) copy last week.
straight from Farout recordings mailer:
"If you've heard Arthur Verocai's debut self-titled album (it was reissued by
Ubiquity in 2004), then you'll know why we are so excited to be releasing a
new studio album from one of the best Brazilian arrangers there is. If you
don't know Arthur then imagine David Axelrod, Shuggie Otis and Charles
Stepney all jamming together in Brazil and you'd be halfway there. He has
arranged records for Brazilian legends Jorge Ben, Elizeth Cardoso,
Gal Costa, Quarteto em Cy, MPB 4 and Marcos Valle. He's the man! On this
album he's joined by Luis Alves, Jose Bertrami, Robertinho Silva, Ivan
Conti, Tavito, Itamar, Chacal & more plus a 17 piece string ensemble and
8 piece horn section."
Sounds plenty interesting.

I don't know if it's the same album you're talking about, but he released an album in 2002, Saudade demais, that you can listen to here ; click on "Clique pra ouvir" under the CD picture, and then click on "Ou??a" (in red).
Peace
Oh, I got one off GEMM. Blackandread was the seller. Not sure if there's more. Definitely worth picking up a reish if you can snag one. Now who wants to sell me an OG?
DJ Ferrari
I got my copy in this week (of the reissue). Wow, another SS home run. That record is fuckin' GREAT. It has a real 70s soul soundtrack feel to it.
Ferrari, mine skipped a bit too in a coupla places.
You can get these still off the Ubiquity site and my homeboy ordered one from Dusty "nice one" Groove this week.
absolutely, one to play all the way through
then flip it back to the beginning and play it one more time...One of the few records that I've played front to back 2 times in a row.
AGREED!
on constant heavy rotation since...
(though there is indeed some nasty skipping here and there)
nasty skipping on a new reish?
nasty because it skips at the good parts.
and i hope the skipping is because of the dirty(?) grooves, as mentioned by DJ Ferrari. Plus i think i heard that the quality of the reish-grooves is not that good...
still: this record is ??ber-facemelting
