Hcrinks jokes reminded me of somethinganyone ever stumble across some ill shit non music related?recently, one of my friends fathers was watching that Antique road show shit and there was an artists painting on it....it was like a fake but it was still worth some loot...the guy said the real one is worth an incredible amount of money....this guy claimed he had one in the attiche went home...dusted it off....called Sothebysshit is worth 20,000 per square inch or something ridiculous

    Back in the late 80s a friend of mine, whose family deal in antiques/first edition books etc, was at a estate sale in Mankato, MN (our hometown). His family purchased the entire estate at a set price. They packed up everything, including boxes of magazines,etc that the family had told them they were going to trash. In one of the boxes was the dead man's Mankato high school yearbook from 1938 and a bunch of letters,etc. Inside the yearbook was a copy of Action Comics No. 1




    He calls me, since I was a teenage comic book nut, and wanted me to "bring a price guide". Remember, this is pre-internet. So I go over, and this thing was at least VG+, maybe better. It was so bright, so colorful, I couldn't believe it. Somewhere there is a pic of me with it, but I have not seen that forever. They later sold it for over $100k. I think at the time the estate cost them like $5k and was mostly antique furniture which I am sure they did well on too.

    Someone I buy records off was at an estate auction and got into a bidding war with someone else on a room filled with boxes that 90% of the time are old records. Well, after winning it turns out it was some raer vintage hc porno mags. So dude's telling me to shift them so he can make more room for records. I tried but no takers. They were eventually shifted, probably made someone's year but WTF am I supposed to do with 40 boxes? Kept a few of the funniest ones.

    Fatback had a similar score at a flea once, probably about a year or more ago. 'Cept it was bondage smut, lots of it and he really was trying to figure out what to do with it, I think he gave it away too! You know you are a collector when you can't pass up a cheap collection of something...uh, "interesting" just because it's a collection!
