is there a way to convert .mov & .mpeg into h.264(or whatever the mp4 format that the video ipod accepts) without having to purchase expensive software?I have your basic powerbook from 2002 and was wondering if anybody could be of assistance.-rich

my boy uses a program called Handbrake. He said it was a free utility, check out downloads.com or google it.

I use this to convert for my PSP. it will work for your ipod too...
