software updates for mac...good or bad?

i love the way my powerbook runs and i don't want to mess with it. i'm a little skeptical of the itunes updates...should i be? or am i just being paranoid? input will be appreciated!thanks

I've had my ibook about a year now and no problems with any of the updates so far(touch wood) no ayo!
So I think it should be cool.

Mac, unlike PC updates, actually improve the products. Update always, without fear.

there was a bug w/ the latest quicktime 7.0.4 update.

usually there aren't any problems, especially w/ updates for apps. However, I usually wait a week or two before I update the os, it has saved my hind a few times.
