Seeing old posters for these around town makes me salivate every time. If I were only 30 years older or so! Too bad this fest is such a pale shadow of its former self these days...1969Friday Night, 8/1/1969Roosevelt SykesFred McDowellJ.B. Hutto and the HawksJimmy DawkinsJunior WellsB.B. I've seen reviews of these festivals in old issues of Living Blues, and those were indeed stellar lineups. Even when the programming was questionable (putting on an avant-garde jazz band right after an electric blues band makes no sense in terms of energy buildup), those were still acts to be reckoned with. And it's too bad you didn't list the 1974 show, 'cause that was the year James Brown played!

Do you have the Ann Arbor Blues & Jazz Festival 1972 twofer on Atlantic? It's not bad, but it doesn't really transfer to vinyl too well, like you had to have been there or something...

'74 was the debauchle year where it was moved to Windsor right? I can't find that lineup anywhere, post it if you got it!
