Download stuff other than music off of Soulseek???

I was thinking about downloading Photoshop 7 off of the 'Seek. A waste of time? Dangerous? Just plain unethical? (yeah, like I care about ethics.) Does anybody else get stuff like this off of Soulseek? I've never downloaded that type of thing for free off of the internet, only music. Some of y'all real headz who know the deal, let a foll in on the pros and cons.

    I would recommend you try and download it as a bittorent. Thats what I use when I download stuff like that..

    More choices, more users, more reliable I guess.

    downloading programs / movies on Slsk = not the way to go

    download this , a small program that enables you to download stuff from multiple people at once trough sites like this

    (but there's thousands of em)

    i don't know where you would download photoshop, maybe off some bittorent site?

    slsk is really good for getting divx movies. Generally a lot faster than torrents, if you hook up to the right people.

    Use a torrent instead, Phill. I use Azureus as a client. As far as looking for programs, check these torrent search engines

    Torrents are great for larger files where you can just leave the DL unmonitored, but you're limited in options. You can't choose connection speed and you can't filter out leechers, you're at the whim of the number of peers connected, etc.

    The ABSOLUTE best option is to buy into a shell account on a healthy IRC server.
