wtf is going on with my computer?

I just ran a speed test for my connection and got this:
Communications 3.5 megabits per second
Storage 421.7 kilobytes per second
1MB file download 2.4 seconds
Subjective rating Awesome
yet I basically can't upload or send any files and pages are taking forever to open.
I've tried to upload a song to yousendit 4 times now and each one timed out.

Virus?

Someone help me before I smash my computer with my manly hands.

    That could be a bunch of things. I would recommend running this: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ to see if it picks up anything. It's basically just an online virus/spyware scan thing. If that doesn't pick up anything bad, you can probably narrow it down to a connection problem.



    Edit: Has this been going on for a while or has it just recently started acting up?

    Was having the same problem a little bit ago... Also wasn't loading website images, etc. I restarted and it seems cool now. Still running slower than normal but overall OK.

    Do you have Yahoo/SBC also? Maybe their network is having problems.
