What's up with this?"Record: NM.... Some very minor hairline surface visible that did not make noise on my system during playback. Has a shinny surface and sounds great. Jacket: NM/Excellent..???. Nice first pressing cover. No marks, or writing. Clear tape repair on top and bottom seams, and some very minor age wear. Record has been separated from jacket."How can a cover be NM/EX if it's TAPED on top and bottom seams? From the picture it seems that there's a tear as well. NM record with surface marks, what's up with that???The seller's grading scale, from another auction:"MINT= A genuinely perfect record in both vinyl and coverM=A nearly perfect record. NM=Cover will have only slight ring or edge wear.
How can a cover be NM if there is any hint of ring wear?
Thats it's wanted enough to have its reserve met despite dodgy grading, for one thing!
Dudes the last one went for $900. Another one in a private sale caught $600. It is a cool album but I have no clue why it's so pricey at the moment. There aren't too many US jazz albums that get that kind of attention IMO, speaking 60s - 70s outside the realm of blue notes and other classically collectable albums.
indeed
well i guess iam never gonna get that one, i thought it would be like a $300 at most, but $900

Regardless - It's great but seriously you have to admit that is crazy money for that era/style. It's cool that the rest of us can buy the Ikef CD reissue and get on with our lives.
wow a japanese dude won!
