I need help with my tape deck

I'm trying to record my tapes to my computer with a 002 rack. The shit non stop clips and I can't turn the volume down because there is only an input volume on the tape deck.I tried hooking the tape deck to a receiver and that to the rack but I can't get that to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. peace

    Use the gain on the front of the digi dude.

    The tape deck is hooked up to the Apogee Mini Me and that is hooked up to the rack.
    The gains on the rack are all the way down and the Apogee gains are at the lowest. It still clips too much. No gain volume I can turn down to make the songs not clip.

    I'm not getting you, why aren't you just using the usb out on the MiniMe to the computer. Why involve the 002 at all (besides monitoring)?



    Tape Deck->MiniMe->CPU





    P.S. How is the MiniMe? My old Layla needs to hit the dusty trail and I was looking at a Rosetta 800.
