found these for a buck each a month ago, but just got around to listening to them. dope fender rhodes-based latin grooves. hot shit. don't sleep if you come across them...

oh yeah, i friggin hate that "thesaurus" record of his that i always see. that shit sucks. so do most his other albums that i've come across. was pleasantly surprised by these two.

Salsa picante is excellent - and a very sampleable conga breakdown/solo that I've had through the akai a few times.

  • I like those records alot. One record of his that I think is pretty heavy and dope is Manteca!, a super tight latin jazz affair.

I think Songs for Rainy Day Lovers is very good in its genre as well.

Clare Fischer has performed and arranged for such a divers bunch of records I discovered. I like his playing on African Blue and isn't he on Dollars too?

He is all out genius. WPA Work Song is break filled 8 minute drum bass piano workout.

His son drummed for Rufus I think.
