Yep, Hutson I is more consistent. II has some great tracks, but also a fair amount of so-so cuts (the instrumentals on side 2 which don't really go anywhere IMO).

So true especially "So in love with you" is amazing! but whole side 1 is great if the tracklist is the same on the different issues. but side two has great tracks too

I hear you. I don't hate it but it's starting to wear off on me.

Hutson I reigns supreme over II.

well I've had 4 or 5 copies over the last couple of years and everytime I get it I spin it and realize I sdon't want to keep it. I have a feeling I may reconsider now though. I had a similar fickle-type relationship with "Closer to the Source" and now I love the LP

If you like his stuff then it would seem strange if you don't like at least these 3 tracks off the LP.

"I think I'm falling in Love" among his best tracks, but then again there's so many of those,"Love to hold you close" nice with sick drumming like no other of his tracks and "Don't it make you feel good".... those are the three standouts to me. "Love The Feeling" is nice as well.

Damn, its not like I like Hutson II better, but that's a dope album. I mean to me you can just put that on and sit back and marinate. As with the other two albums in question.

  • closer to the source has the illest hutson moment (meaning not full song) in the middle of "in the mood" shit is so dopeeee. rock dubs

it's odd people can not like hutson II when they're a fan of hutson I. They go perfectly hand in hand w/ each other.....

"Love to hold you close" is my #1 hutson joint, it gets no better than that.

Never heard a Hutson I didn't like. Would go with Hutson I out of the two choices.

By the way, did anyone ever hear his comeback album in the early nineties? Worth hunting down?

Does it bother anyone else that the title of his first record is Hutson, yet it is always refered to as Hutson I?
