The Roots in SF (Chappelle-R)

So yesterday a friend offered me a pass to see the Roots at the Warfield and while I'm not a big fan (those interminable solos are painful), I went and it was fun. ??About 2/3 of the way through, right after ?love's solo, the stage goes dark and this familiar, lanky figure appears on the right side. ??It takes the audience about 3 seconds to realize it's Dave Fucking Chappelle and go nuts--EVERYONE is on their feet. Chappelle doesn't say a word, just slowly strolls all the way over to the other side of the stage, stands behind the keyboards and starts to play a slightly wobbly version of "Round About Midnight" on electric piano and the band joins in. ??They wrap it up in about 90 seconds and Chappelle walks off stage to deafening applause. ??Shit was crazy. ??I couldn't believe how happy I was to see his ass alive and well.
