Bass player for the Dapps

So I see three sealed copies of this lp today. I don't remember seeing it before, but the guy was the bass player for the Dapps. I pay $10.00 each. Sonny Burke keys, James Gadson drums, Deniece Williams vocals and so on.It's got a southern soul & country feel like Dann Penn, which is what it looked like. But no featured bass playing, no funky stuff. I'm a little disapointed so I check futher. He doesn't even play bass on the record. He just sings. He ain't that great of a singer. So it has some nice soul cuts. but... why would the bass player for the Dapps make a record and not play bass?[/b]According to the liner notes besides playing with the Hollywood Argyles, James Brown, Dapps and Freddy King as a teen. He has also worked with Mike Bloomfield, Jerry Garcia and was part of the Electric Flag.Dan
