frayed ground wires on your 1200s

you can usually get by with just wrapping them around the grounding post on your mixer, but i am getting major static lately. anyone know if these spade connectors will do the trick?http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?parentPage=search&cp=&productId=2117896&kw=spade+connector&tab=summary

    Is it a humming noise or static? Humming is a ground fault. Static could be, er, static. Try cleaning your stylus , records, or spraying your TT mat with static guard.
