So now you know, at least, if you managed to get it from the A.U.T.ROBOTOBIBOKThey're from Poland, and outside of Eastern Europe practically noone knows about them. They have quite a few fans in the Netherlands and Belgium though.Their "Nawyki przyrody" LP is the best non-sample-based, non-retro music i've heared the last years. Freakin jazz, electronics, post rock, funk, it's all there. On a heavy slice of vinyl with great artwork too!I saw them live twice, which is even better. They bring an enormous collection of vintage analogue synthesizers to the stage: EMS VCS3 MK2, ARP Odyssey, Minimoog, Rogue moog. Plus a Rhodes piano, vibraphone, harmonium, trumpet, standing and electric bass, electric guitar and all kinds of percussion. And amazingly, they continuously shift from one instrument to another during shows, so that each member plays at least 5 instruments. Lot of impro without loosing the groove, these guys are so focused! So if in your anywhere near the city of Nijmegen (Dutchland) on the 8th of november, come check them out!
