I'm spinning upstairs all night. Gonna be Strut-fest 2009 up in there. Holler. Kinda too bad I'm going to miss yr guys' sets though. Maybe I can throw on "Water Get No Enemy" and duck down for a few...

Thanks man, good lookin' out. Sucks about the drop, but at least it's not all over the track. Is it like this on all the CDs? I know I had a drop-less version at one point, but I probably got it through the asisphonics board, and I think it was a…

I actually loved reading watchmen, but couldn't really F*ck with Dark Knight Returns. Not saying that to auto-eroticize on blasphemy, but it just didn't do it for me. Watchmen frickin' sweet tho.

I used to have this problem with one at work, and it turned out to be the felt on the side. You might wanted to try using a thicker slipmat to keep it from rubbing on anything while it rotates.

That first one is this jawn, right before the beat kicks in. b,121b,121img src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qtzEjdadQQI/R5PYuz9pNnI/AAAAAAAAAHA/jzrGKKgdkyk/s320/Les+Levres+Rouges.jpg"1

Def thought you were talking this: I was like, Thes? Whaaaa?

Juelz's Memorial Day mixtape still gets burn from time to time, as do certain songs by JR Writer, Jim Jones, etc. Individual tracks I'm still pretty all about: What's Really Good I Really Mean It Cam'Ron- Something New Juelz- So What's It Gonna Be …

No "hits"....some stuff that the most underground of FM stations would play....."1969"...."I Want To Be Your Dog" Haha, yep. We pretty much said the same thing at the same time.
-
Yeah, I mean, I think all three of the records were pretty much spectacular failures at the time. Don't think there was anything in the way of real airplay outside of the underground. The "hits" for them (ie songs people would sing along to in a…

I can't remember who it was, but some time ago now, somebody posted up a remix they'd done of "Didn't I?" which used the drums from Dilla's "Fuck The Police", and it was really nice - sped up a little, but pretty sympathetic on the whole. http://d…

Yes I do. Sort of in the a) column. Use them much more for DJing than production. I'm nowhere near a break historian, but still love a song that has a funky bit, especially if it's from an unpredictable source.

I have heard that first track used somewhere else before Same drums and bass line. From some guy called Tony Loomin from SD Same track, same guys producing. That whole Tony Lumin thing was some weird hoax involving the Ricci Rucker board, that the…

Big up yourself and all that. Great to meet you in December.

It would also be really fun to do an all Soundtrack night, but again, it would be all about getting people who would actually enjoy hearing that kind of music, and other DJ's to keep the music fresh.

I've had several ideas that I'd like to pop off for a while. The tricky part is getting the right people to come so that it goes down the right way. I really want to do just a basic dance party that covers Motown era, girl group, French stuff like…

w.p. is XLR8R any good? XLR8R does some good stuff, though I feel like they and URB are trying to figure out what their readers want after things kinda sagged for electronic music early in the 2000s.

picked up my first copy of SHINDIG magazine the other day -- it's ace.. mod, garage, freak, beat and psych based bi-monthly from the UK. Word, nice on the recommendations on the fringe music 'zines. Keep 'em coming. This mag looks real simila…

This actually does look pretty legit. Judging by the single exclamation point usage in their review though, I can only assume this is a total yawner. but their self-description is madd laffable dunn: "a brand new publication inspired by the …
