It is always more difficult to be in a management position right?

Jokes about sexual exploitation are not funny. Fools crying foul in the Penn State thread with their stakes out and we have a thread with a damn poll?

  • Interesting how pimps have come up in the world. They were long considered near the bottom of the criminal totem pole, below junkie purse snatchers.

  • I would say being a pimp that has only one ho would be the hardest thing.

I'm very disappointed at the blatant sexism portrayed in this thread.

I used to work at a free clinic, where I once helped coordinate pro bono vaginal reconstruction surgery for a thirteen-year-old who'd recently been sold to her third pimp in eighteen months. I can say with full confidence that you are wrong, whoever the fuck you are.

    What an awful thread.

    Aren't we, as a board, "post-pimp-and-ho"?

Street pimp seems harder than high-end hoe (escort) who may get to keep most of the money. But street walker hoe seems like the worst of both worlds, combining the danger of being exposed (to the elements and to the police) with the general degradation of sex work.

Enamored by the superficial glamour of "high end" trafficking. It's just lipstick and glitter, Rey.

Nah, I'm talking about Emperors Club, Ashley Dupre-style high-end.

Trafficking/sex slavery looks a little different.

The UN defines trafficking as the act of recruiting, transporting, transfering, harbouring or receiving a person through a use of force, coercion or other means, for the purpose of exploiting them.

Just because you get a nice hotel room and a wealthy john doesn't mean it isn't trafficking. It's not all an episode of Law and Order: SVU. Ms. Dupre isn't exactly considered the face of the sex trade, either, which in the U.S. involves minors 50% of the time. Dupre-style, but still damaging.

    /discussion. This thread is ridiculous.

Emperors Club did seem to be the face of the highest-end, though (excluding traditional marriage).
