Has anyone seen it?
Seems semi-anthropologist to me but for all the MIA,Thievry Corp interviews
there are caetano,gilberto gil ones
e bom?
its playing in town and want to know if i should attend

    I haven't seen it.

    The trailer makes it seem a little shallow as far as Brazillian music goes though.

    However, I'd definitely go see it.

    Love your Misterio mix by the way brother.

    my instincts point to bad, but could have some interesting moments.

    I've seen it, and can't recommend it very strongly. It's very breezy, rarely touching down in any one musical genre / movement to reach much insight or depth. Most members here will already know more.

    The version I saw will also be very confusing to newbies (and very galling to experts) as it would talk about the importance of certain artists or songs while bland, lite contemporary techno blares at a level suggesting it's the song/artist being discussed -- while at other times the relevant song does play. Presumably this was a rights issue, but it's distracting, and the current music used detracts from the beautiful subject matter of the doc.
