Has anyone bee to Val Shively Records lately? Is that place picked over, or does he still buy for the store?

    I heard you have to bring a list too because unless he likes/kmows you you can't go dig??

    I so would love (& have contemplated more than once) to jump on a plane just to go dig at that place, but I fear I may have a heart attack at the sheer massiveness of the amount of 45s........ also, it's a long way to fly to then get denied.....

    Still to this day a very cool shop, perhaps especially for NON soul/doowop/funk 45s.

    I've never been there.
    I have heard many stores, and have talked to Val on the phone.

    I would assume that he will be buying until he closes the store.
    It is a passion for him.

    I doubt he has to work hard to buy.
    He has been one of thee best known buyers and sellers for decades.
    The records come to him.
