Dammit, why are they all going at once? Jimmy McGriff, Isaac Hayes, Marc Moulin, Now Saunders? All the dudes you just new were Good People the moment you dropped the needle on one of their joints. Waay more then Garcia's keybordist, I love that self titled Album on Fantasy he cut and Axelrod mixed that's got him sitting on the fender of a Bentley. Funky Sh*t. RIP.

Merl Saunders was great. RIP. b,121b, 21There are some old Grateful Dead style bootlegs of him playing with Jerry Garcia in a group called Reconstruction during the late 70's and they are the heat!! Raw, dirty, and funky. Merl kills it! Recommended if you can track them down. A lot of folks slept on this guy.
