You won't go wrong with comfort and longevity with anything by REDWING, but its out of your price range.

Another choice is too grab a nice pair of boots at your local Macy's clearance rack, and waterproof them yourself.

Try you local uniform shops that cater to government agencies, they usually have boots that are waterproof for under a hundred dollars.

  • Ill check them out, I think theres a dealer in my town. Also, how far out of my price range?

120-160 depending on style, but they will last. Plus the ole' dudes and the super. will respect the Redwing.

  • If you're going to be on your feet all day busting your ass, your feet and back are going to be hurting. Spend a little more on some nice boots that will last, be comfortable.

I like Danner's stuff. Costs more, but they fit great and last. If and when they finally die you can send them to the factory to be rebuilt.

I would also suggest buying shoes/boots one half a size too big and filling them with some gel inserts or extra padding. Makes a world of difference. Boots are heavy.

On a side note, this also works with most high heels.

This would also allow room for a pair of wool socks if it gets real, real cold. To quote my british hommies, "good advice, this."
