http://www.vinylcarvers.com/Has anybody tried this? Seems like a fun way to do something really random. I know it doesn't make as much sense with Microwave these days, but fun for releasing one copy of something. I just wonder what they sound like. Do they eat up your needles?

  • I have used the carvery (www.myspace.com/thecarvery) a few times. They do a super thin Scratch vinyl that I use in my sets kind of like a personal exclusive battle weapon.
I have been really pleased with the sound quality and durability of the records I have had from them.

Yes - they do a good service. Pressed up on nice thick vinyl. May be slightly quiet for some folks - but Werner makes sure the sound is well mastered and not distorted.

Some vinyl pressing places will offer to do it louder but you will end up with the needle jumping out the groove unless you use extra weights !

VC pressings will effect your needles as much as any mint vinyl....
