Picked up the LP "Rod on Record" today which basically sucks except for a dope (imo) modern soulesque tune.

Anyone else have this and/or ride for it?

would love to have some thoughts shared

also picked up a 45 by smokin' baby clams - leavin' here which is more or less a guitar driven funk track out of Washington in 1983.... suprisingly good for the year

I ride hard for McKuen. He and Vince Guaraldi are on a lot of the Charlie Brown/Peanuts records. I scored Seasons In The Sun a few days ago and there is a beautiful song titled The Last Days of Summer. Also, Live In London At The London Palladium has Adagio for Harp and Strings.

As it says in the liner notes: "There is virtually no market today for pure-quality talent in the popular field. Yet somehow he is carving a place for himself in this field that does not exist." - Morgan Ames

This used to be a "Secret Squirrel" of mine. Sold it for $100 disgused as it back in the day.

^^ close your eyes and it sounds like Martin Sheen in Apocalypse Now.
