New Rotary Connection Question

Are there multiple variations of the original cover?

Is there a brown/sepia cover as shown here
http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=1284735
or is that just a bad photo?

IIRC I have had an embossed cover. Maybe I am dreaming.

Most copies I see pictured on the interwebs are white.

I've only seen the white border, I think thats just taken in bad lighting/ a dirty cover.

while were on the subject of Rotary Connection anybody ever heard this?

The idea of hearing Rotary Connection live was intriguing so I tried youtube.

Could only find lip synced tv shows.

It's strange that only one member (best I can tell) had any success after the break up.

  • Mine is a white cover. That looks like a bad photo.

Sidney Barnes did release an LP in '78 called "Foot Stompin' Music". However, I've seen him in an interview on the TV show Unsung and he seemed quite flamboyant and effeminate which may have made him hard to market.

he also recorded and maybe toured with p-funk. great, rich voice. "hanging round the bee tree" or whatever its called from that album is kinda his moment in the sun.

I think we're lucky to have THAT. Even though (in the clip I've seen), Minnie Riperton is lipsynching to a song she didn't sing lead on.
