</font1
<font class="small"1Quote:</font1<h,121<b,121<b,121<b,121Boston has one line? One thing we do have is depth. We have two<b,121"top line" centers in Savard & Bergeron, along with a wealth of<b,121talented wingers in Kessel, Sturm, Kobasew, Ryder, etc. Our D is<b,121solid and well-coached. The one weakness is in goal, and while I<b,121agree Manny is the weakest link (he looked awful last night) we have<b,121the "goalie of the future" in Tuukka Rask playing extremely well in<b,121the AHL and he may very well be competing with Thomas for the starting<b,121job by Christmas. <b,121<b,121As for my picks, I haven't been following the rest of the league pre-season<b,121and in this first few days enough to really be confident in my picks, but since<b,121I did talk shit about yours:<b,121<b,121 1. Montreal <b,121 2. NY Rangers <b,121 3. Washington <b,121 4. Pittsburgh <b,121 5. Philadelphia <b,121 6. Boston <b,121 7. New Jersey <b,121 8. Ottawa <b,121 <b,121 1. Detroit <b,121 2. San Jose <b,121 3. Calgary <b,121 4. Minnesota <b,121 5. Anaheim <b,121 6. Chicago <b,121 7. Edmonton <b,121 8. Vancouver <b,121<b,121... obviously that 8 spot is a toss-up, especially in the<b,121east, where Buffalo or Carolina could easily replace Ottawa,<b,121and Dallas could certainly get in again in the west.<b,121<b,121<b,121<b,121<h,121
<font class="post"1<b,121<b,121The East is very stacked and tougher to predict. I agree that Carolina or Buffalo can sneak into #8. Kobasew and Ryder have lots of potential, but they're very inconsistent. If they can show up on a fairly regular basis, Boston will be a problem for most teams. Phil Kessel needs to step up as well.<b,121<b,121Interesting that you have Vancouver in and Dallas out. Other than that, I like your choices for the West. Solid picks for the East as well.
