Japanese made and, according to the gentleman I bought it off, Jamaican altered. Had to replace the speaker (blown) with something nice (2-way paradigm). If I'm at a record fair/dealers place/store playing records for an extremely long time, I need to pack 4 extra batteries. Usually just use it for portable-competitive situations such as record fairs.
