One arachnid that I don't mess around with is the Brown Recluse. </blockquote> Cosign on the Recluse, I'm always extra careful rummaging through firewood piles. Those things'll fuck you up real bad. I once bought two boxes of records from a garage sale, and brought them home and right up to my room. I was flipping through one box when all of a sudden from the back a nasty medium sized black and hairy spider came sprinting out the box and dove straight for a pile of clothes. I tried to find him but couldn't, then figured he'd turn up and I'd have to dismiss him. I forgot about it of course. Woke up the next morning with 9 nasty bites running up one leg and 5 on the other. I've never had an insect bite itch so bad, and the itching lasted at least a week. The bitemarks were there for a month, at least. Later that day I was playing records, had a record on the left turntable with the right one spinning wit just the slipmat when my little friend comes running out onto the slipmat while it's spinning! It was like watching a confused animal trying to run on a treadmill. I laughed for a second then remembered that he attacked me first so I had to squish him. I like spiders though, especially when they really start coming out in September. Last year I counted 9 webs all on the side of my porch that I like to sit on, but in the bushes so I could just sit there and watch them. It looked nice when the sun caught the webs at a certain time of day. If I find one in the house I try and get it outside instead of killing it too.
