Either of you have any of this recorded already? I wouldn't mind hearing the decent tracks off it. Can't help you out for a couple of weeks yet....don't have my computer with the clips on here in the UK. No worries when I get back, though.

I've sold them (not sealed) for about $25 in the past. Not terribly rare. One or two OK tracks. Needs a soundclip when you sell it - I've had a copy knocking around for a while at $25, not sealed. Polished production and 1 decent track on there.

I want to go where the signs say "ye olde". This is the only link you need http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/results.shtml?n=ye+olde

I have Gloster's LP on Gospel Roots and prefer it - but I felt a need to stick up for this because it's really *not* mediocre, at least not in my mind. Just as good as the Townsley LP and others on the label. I really can't understand the price but …

This is a great record, which is pretty hard to find - I found one in 2003 and have been looking for a spare since. Gloster (sp?) Williams is behind it and like his other material there are some real quality tunes there. "Don't Have To Worry" (I thi…

We've gone from Sampled a Beatles song > Sampled a Harrison song > Sampled a Jimmy Ponder cover a Beatles song This is not historic, it is hype. An old over the hill band samples a cover of a song by a member (not known for his song writin…

I vote "History In The Making". I think it's a massively significant move. Neil Aspinall had been the Beatles' head of business affairs for decades until his sudden departure in April. Apparently, a few people had become a little pissed-off with h…

I've almost bought that Novella Nelson a few times, but always had a warning vibe, like it was a trap record and I would be disappointed ... maybe I'll go pick it up, I know where there's a cheap copy. Is it like an Esther Marrow or something? defi…

word? All good. All Strutters come to the EXTRA CHEE$E show with me and J-Zone and we will get shitfaced and talk records.. Are you flying through in October? I'm back to the UK for 3 weeks to play records an'stuff, otherwise I'd show for a brew.

Fred Johnson was on a whim - got home and - yikes!!! Worth extremely decent loot too if it's the same one I'm thinking of. Or maybe that's the "yikes!" part. Yeah, rare. Here's the Jazzman 45 reissue - http://www.jazzmanrecords.co.uk/asp/prod..…

can anyone confirm this? nothing on the net... Yep - the guy that's been managing him, posted up on Fryer Mantis.

Does anyone care? Not in the US.....I can't find coverage on any service, except maybe Setanta which I'd have to subscribe too. Either that or it's a trip to the Kings Head in Santa Monica **shudder**

I'm going to be in the LA/Ventura/Oxnard area on those very same days visiting my speedily-recovering gf and DJing at the Bordello. Someone convince me that the 6 hour drive is worth my time and you might see your first NC strutter drunk as hell* …

I've just come back from spending a few nights here; http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-...y_New_York.html We got a suite complete with a kitchen for around $250 a night. Recommended, and a great location.

how was your flight? Yeah, was good...made good time back to London. I got some a couple of nice pictures of the night, so I'll link 'em up for you when I can. I'll keep a look out for a spare copy

So I'm assuming this is Baz as in Bazil? Did you get to hear the radio show on Sunday......there's that record with the heavy drums intro you asked after at the Queens Bar. Cheers!

Pink's is there too but Angelinos with half a brain don't fuck with that place (Carney's is just as good IMO if not better - and there's none of that waiting in line with tourists bullshit). I can't believe the queues for that place - I mean like 40…

You should try calling the company that I currently rent with. Largely based around the Culver City/Santa Monica area, they have some excellent units and much cheaper than what you're currently being quoted. The Roberts Company If you need more in…

two dudes in the shop exclaiming shit like "Muddy Waters Vinyls!" "Nirvana Vinyls!" They sound british. ....or French

HELL YES. That would be awesome. There was an "Irish Pub" in korea called O'Kims. Seriously. Ahaha - doowit. We'll pubcrawl the UK way.
-
I went to the Kings Head in Santa Monica at 6am to take in a Rugby 6 Nations game.....and that was enough for me. The guinness was OK and the full English brekkie was cool too, but the place was full of, well....muppets, really. Everybody sounded En…
